3DMED closing conference during 3D MEDTECH Printing conference

Learn about 3D printing for medical applications

On 29 March 2022, 3DMED will organise the 3DMED Closing Conference during the 3D MEDTECH Printing conference of Jakajima. 3DMED’s closing conference will take place from 10:00 to 15:00 and will provide visitors with insights into the project and some breakthroughs in 3D printing technology for advanced medical care. The 3DMED part will be complemented by various interesting presentations, networking opportunities and an exhibition section of the 3D MEDTECH Printing conference (10:00-17:30). Flam3D members can participate with member discount, both in the 3DMED closing conference and the 3D Medical printing series – including the 3D MEDTECH Printing conference – as a whole. All event parts will take place in hybrid form (live @ Mikrocentrum or online).

3DMED closing conference

3D printing technologies hold the promise of revolutionising the quality and efficiency of healthcare. However, the required technologies, even when available, are currently too fragmented to be integrated into solutions that can benefit a large number of patients. 3DMED is an Interreg project that aims to improve the affordability and large-scale accessibility of medical treatment using 3D printed devices. This will be achieved by increasing the TRL of state-of-the-art 3D printing technologies for medical applications and integrating them into a streamlined, fast, cost-effective software platform for use in routine clinical practice. The main objectives are streamlining and integration, technology development and validation.

During the 3DMED closing conference you can discover the results of the project. The program is as follows:

10:00 – 11:25

13:15 – 14:55

3D Medical Conference

Jakajima’s 3D Medical Printing Series will take place on 29-30 March 2022 and includes four conferences on healthcare innovation and 3D printing. The conferences will each take place in a hybrid format: both at Mikrocentrum and online. Doctors, nurses, engineers, dentists, researchers, designers, academics, hospital managers, medical professionals, regulators, and medical product suppliers will present their state-of-the-art developments and future projects and/or showcase their products and offers at the exhibit. The audience, a mix of academics, medical professionals, business and technology professionals, regulators, and creatives, will get an excellent overview on and insight in the medical developments both clinically, technically, and academically. The medical conference will thus provide a platform for the exchange of information on market requirements, research interests and current results, skills and resources, and aim to facilitate the building of future partnerships in the field.

The 8th edition consists of a series of medical conferences on 4 different topics: 1) 3D Bioprinting, 2) 3D Medtech Printing (surgical guides, prostheses, hearing aids, medical devices …) including the 3DMED closing conference, 3) 3D Pharma Printing and 4) 3D Dental Printing. The speaker program is a nice mix of academic, industry and end users. Click on the respective links for more information on each individual conference.
