5 Flam3D members to speak at the 3D Printing Value Chain Event
On 21 and 22 April, a new edition of the 3D Printing Value Chain Event will take place at Brigthlands Chemelot Campus (Geleen, the Netherlands). The event focuses on 3D printing of polymers with some related topics. Through a two-day conference and an exhibition, the 3D Printing Value Chain Event facilitates an exchange of knowledge, current status, skills and resources. The conference provides an interesting programme in which no less than 5 Flam3D members will be speaking.
So far, the emphasis in the Additive Manufacturing industry has mainly been on 3D printing technology; 3D printers need to be faster, deliver better quality, be able to print on a larger scale … Nevertheless, design, material selection and post processing are equally important stages in the use of this innovative technology. If we want 3D printing to evolve towards production, we need to know how to integrate 3D printing into the ‘conventional factory’. That’s why the 3D Printing Value Chain event highlights the entire value chain of Additive Manufacturing. The event aims to provide the necessary tools to facilitate the transition from traditional manufacturing methods to 3D printing and targets everyone involved in the value chain of creating a product using 3D printing. From designer, engineer, quality controller or 3D printer manufacturer to researcher, material manufacturer, producer or software developer.
The 3D Printing Value Chain Event focuses on the 3D printing of polymers and targets various and complex aspects of the technology, from design to final product. Academics, engineers, designers and managers will be present to give a lecture on their state-of-the-art developments and future perspectives. All of them will be dealing with different value chain components such as recycling, design & engineering, post processing or AM integrated factory. Also Flam3D members Additive Center, AMPC Solutions, UHasselt, 3D Strategies and Vrije Universiteit Brussel will lecture. In addition, visitors can discover new products and offers at the exhibition and the event supports visitors in building future business relationships.
