Studiedag Full Colour 3D Printing

Arteveldehogeschool organises study day about Full Colour 3D printing

3D printing has established itself in the creative and manufacturing industries. Will the next step be an upgrade from monotone to full-colour 3D printing? What does the future of 3D printing actually look like in these sectors?

On Thursday the 5th of May 2022 Flam3D-member Arteveldehogeschool organises a study day on Full Colour 3D printing. During this study day they want to offer the visitors an answer to questions concerning the current evolutions within the field of Full Colour 3D printing. These are research questions that arise from the research project ‘Full Colour 3D printing – colour management & texture’ of the college. In the project, the entire workflow is explored, from 3D scanning over modelling and texturing, 3D visualisations such as augmented reality to full colour 3D printing. Furthermore, research is done on how the exact same colour and structure of the original can be reproduced in the 3D print. On May 5th, you will hear the preliminary research results and best practices from experts Bart Calis, Tom Neuttiens and Inge Sintobin.

Our own Kris Binon, General Director at Flam3D, introduces the seminar with a neutral, independent view on the 3D sector. Afterwards, Hans Van Glabeke, Marketing Director at Materialise, explains how Materialise sees the future by means of three cases. Then the Arteveldehogeschool shares its preliminary research insights and good practices. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion on the future of full colour 3D printing, to be concluded with a guided tour at the Prototyping lab of the educational institution and a reception.

Are you excited to participate? Then register here for the Full Colour 3D Printing Study Day.
