Flam3D puts 3D printing in the spotlight with exhibition stand and information afternoon at Advanced Engineering

Increase your competitiveness with AM

On Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 May Advanced Engineering is scheduled; a trade fair for innovations in the field of product development and for Flam3D again an excellent opportunity to put Additive Manufacturing (AM) in the spotlight with a varied target audience. Therefore, in addition to a Flam3D booth, there will also be a Flam3D information afternoon at Antwerp Expo. At the Flam3D stand anyone can visit who is looking for specific information about or contacts within Additive Manufacturing (AM) and is looking for an answer to the question of what the added value of the technology can be for their organisation. The info afternoon is there for all companies and organisations who are interested in getting started with 3D printing: through a general introduction and specific business cases we help the visitors on their way.

Flam3D exhibition stand

For years, Flam3D has been committed to neutrality and promotes the interests of all those active in the AM value chain, both in the Flanders region and in the Netherlands. The Flam3D stand at Advanced Engineering should be an extension of this by creating a place where people can find answers to all sorts of AM-related questions. Anyone with questions is welcome and we will try to answer them with an open and neutral mind.

Furthermore, Flam3D wants to spread information about 3D printing and make clear when and how an organisation can benefit from it. After all, 3D printing can offer a competitive advantage. You just need to know where and when the technology is useful. As a neutral and independent network organization Flam3D wants to offer you insight in the possibilities and advantages of AM. Besides that, we can provide you with the right connections. Within our network we always find relevant knowledge and contacts to help you with your 3D-challenge.

As a network organisation, we like to put our members in the spotlight at such an exhibition stand, and we do this by means of various samples. Of course, this is also an advantage for the fair visitor: at the Flam3D stand you can have a look at some 3D printing techniques and how they are applied through some specific samples.

Are the following questions familiar to you? What can I use Additive Manufacturing for? Which technologies are there? Which sectors need to invest now to be future proof? Where can I go for training? Who can I contact for services or research? Which projects are suitable for printing? Who can help me with my first prints, and how? ...” These are some examples of the many questions companies wrestle with when they want to get started with 3D printing.

To try and answer these questions, Flam3D organises on thursday 12 May the AM info afternoon Start to print: increase your competitiveness with AM. During the afternoon visitors will be immersed in the principles of additive manufacturing.

The event kicks off with a general overview and technical explanation of 3D printing, after which the participants gain insight into when it makes sense to print a piece and when it doesn’t, using various concrete business cases. After a series of interesting lectures, there will be room for networking and visiting the Advanced Engineering fair.
