3D Print Award van Kamp C

Kamp C presents first 3D Print Award

Always wanted to win a 3D Print Award? This is your chance! Kamp C challenges designers, architects and students to integrate 3D concrete printing in the construction sector. Through this competition, the provincial Centre for Sustainability and Innovation is looking for creative designs that are 3D printable. In other words, your mission is the following: design an original object that Kamp C can print with their 3D concrete printer. The best entries have a chance of winning a 3D Print Award.

Who, when and how?

In May 2020, the winning designs will be announced at the 3D Print Awards event. An event organised jointly by Kamp C and editorial office Palindroom. Later, the designs will be printed and exhibited at Kamp C. For the competition, projects can be submitted in two different categories: carcass and exterior applications on the one hand and interior applications on the other. Would you like to participate? Projects can be submitted until 29/02/2020 via the website.

Students also have a chance to participate: there is a separate category for students. Only students who are enrolled at a university or college in the academic year of 2019-2020 in the fields of construction, architecture, design or interior design can participate. For students, there is no distinction between indoor and outdoor applications. Students who submit a project as a student cannot submit this project in another category.

2 x chance of winning

There are two types of prizes; the expert jury prize and the audience prize. For each category, the expert jury will nominate one candidate as the winner of the expert jury’s prize. In addition, the public can also vote online. This means that the projects with the highest number of votes per category can also win a public prize. More information about the full competition rules can be found here.
