Looking back on a successful Flam3D members event

On Tuesday 17 December some notebooks were closed a little earlier and the desks were closed timely. Why? At 2 PM Mikrocentrum opened its doors for the start of Flam3D’s last member event of the year. You could call it a special day for Flam3D and its members. It was an event with special presentations, interesting pitches and good networking.

As usual, Flam3D once again organised its half-yearly member event on 17 December. The day took place from 2 PM till 9 PM in Mikrocentrum and was the ideal way to end the year 2019 in beauty. About 70 participants signed in and were in exchange spoiled with a very interesting program.

After a warm welcome, the Flam3D member event was opened with a presentation on the findings of the Flam3D member survey. The survey was conducted during November and December and gives Flam3D members the opportunity to give direction to their organisation. The evaluation of the activities of Flam3D was (very) positive, but under the motto “Everything can always be better”, the organisation will use the feedback of its members to tailor its offer even better to their needs and expectations.

The findings of the Flam3D member survey were not the only reason for the members to close the offices a bit earlier. At the event, they were also able to enjoy the special presentations by keynote speakers Dr.-Ing. Maximilian Munsch (Ampower) and Dr. Jules A.W. Harings (Aachen Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials). Both speakers gave exceptionally fascinating insights on metal printing and 3D printing with polymers, respectively. This was followed by twelve interesting pitches from Flam3D members, which clearly showed that connecting the network even better is still a necessity. As a start, the evening was wrapped up in beauty with good networking and a delicious meal.

In short, Flam3D looks back on a successful member event with special thanks to Mikrocentrum for the fantastic hosting.
