Masterclasses 3D modeling & printing

In the master classes 3D modeling & printing of Artevelde University College you learn how to create and print 3D objects step by step. After a successful first edition, the school starts a new series on Monday, October 1, 2018. During 10 Monday evenings you will master the basics of 3D modeling & printing (October – December). If you want to learn more, you can then follow the advanced module (February – May).

In this one-year course, spread over 2 masterclasses, you will be immersed in the art of 3D printing and the design of models. If you want to work with a 3D printer and not only print existing digital objects from online databases, you need to train yourself in the design and modelling of 3D objects. Through numerous workshops, this course takes you step by step into this exciting process.

In both master classes the general principles of modeling are applied and explained using Blender (open-source software) but, if desired, students can also work on the software of their own preference. All exercises developed during the master classes are part of an evaluation. At the end of each master class, participants prepare their own assignment and obtain a certificate of participation for each master class once they have completed all the lessons.

Information evenings on this course are held on Wednesday 5 September at the Media Campus in Mariakerke from 15:00 to 20:00, or on Tuesday 11 September at Voetweg 66 in Ghent from 17:00 to 20:00.
