Flam3D, a division of SIM-Flanders vzw (hereafter referred to as Flam3D), the organisation responsible for the processing of data, offers a platform for 3D-printing (via websites www.flam3d.be, www.flam3d.nl and www.flam3d.org) where visitors are informed about the sector, can gain additional knowledge through participation in events and can purchase relevant literature through a webshop.
This data protection policy sets out in clear terms what data Flam3D processes for its users, how it seeks to optimally protect the data of its users and which rights the users can exercise.
By using the website of Flam3D and the associated services, the user accepts the customs as described in this data protection policy.

2.1 Permission and collection of data
Flam3D vzw attaches great importance to your privacy. Although most of the information on this website is available without providing personal information, it is possible that the user is asked for personal information. In order for Flam3D to be able to provide the services set out in its General Terms and Conditions, it is necessary to collect and store the personal data that the user communicates in the context of the registration process, as long as Flam3D deems this necessary or earlier: when the user requests this data to be removed.
Access to the platform Flam3D requires an e-mail address specified by the user and a password chosen by him/her (the login details).
Upon registration, the user must fill in a number of details that are necessary for the fulfillment of the agreement. These mandatory data are:

– Cellphone number;

2.2 Usage of this data
If personal data is used for purposes for which the consent of the user is required, the user will always be asked for explicit, written permission.
Flam3D mainly collects personal data to provide the user with a safe, qualitative, result-oriented and personal experience while using their services.
The data is used for the following purposes in specific:
a. Keeping participant and guest lists for her events;
b. Contacting these persons in the context of the organization of its events;
c. The exchange of personal and contact details for a contact request;
d. The correct delivery of the services or goods ordered by the user;
e. Notifying of new events or other news from Flam3D or its partners. The user can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by changing the preferences in his/her account or the newsletter itself;
f. Making adjustments and improvements to the services offered by Flam3D;
g. The proper and/or optimal provision of customer support;
h. Detecting and preventing unlawful actions or activities in violation of the General Terms and Conditions of Flam3D.
i. The development or debugging of the services of Flam3D.
2.3 Sharing with third parties
If data is passed on to other users within the framework of the services provided by Flam3D, this will only take place under the name entered by the user.
Personal data is only provided to third parties:
External service providers of Flam3D who provide services on behalf of Flam3D in order to make the service possible are not considered third parties.
With the help of appropriate technical and organisational measures, maximum data security is pursued. This is an obligation of means on behalf of Flam3D.
All information that the user enters when using the website of Flam3D is encrypted. This encryption seals the data transfer between the user’s internet browser and Flam3D’s web server and thus prevents misuse of this data. The encryption technique that is used here is SSL encryption.
4.1.Right of access – information
Flam3D has tried to explain its policy in clear terms in this document. However, the user has the right, by written request, at reasonable intervals, to obtain additional information about the data stored for his/her person at Flam3D, about their origin, about the purpose for which they are stored and about the recipient who the data is passed on.
4.2. Right of objection
The user reserves the right to, at all times, withdraw the consent given in whole or in part, which may lead to the inability to use the services of Flam3D.
The user also has the right to object to the use of his/her data for marketing purposes. For this the user or visitor will address Flam3D; a written request is sufficient, stating the e-mail address and his/her name as provided to Flam3D.
4.3. Right to rectification
The user has the right at any time to correct his/her data via his/her profile settings.
4.4. Right of removal
The user has, at all times, the right to demand rectification or removal of his/her personal data stored with Flam3D.
For this purpose, a written request is sufficient, stating the e-mail address and his/her name as provided to Flam3D.
The right to delete your personal data may, however, be limited by statutory retention obligations that are imposed on Flam3D.
