Project PEPS supports development of new polymers for AM
Does your company need support in developing new polymers for Additive Manufacturing? The project “Polymères Et ProcédéS 3D” (PEPS) is set up to boost the cross-border potential of AM processes for technical polymers and/ or filled polymers. The consortium helps companies to develop new thermoplastics suitable for 3D-printing. This by means of applied research on innovative solutions.
The main ambition of PEPS is to extend the possibilities of AM processes from prototyping to new industrial applications. An example is the production of end products with optimised mechanical characteristics similar to those of serial polymer processing processes. In addition, PEPS wants to increase the supply of materials for AM while providing them with innovative functionalities. You can participate by contacting the organisation and by filling out an online form that enables them to write a roadmap on the project themes and to meet your expectations.
PEPS is a collaborative project between four research centres: CRITT-MDTS, ARMINES, IMT Lille Douai in France and CERTECH in Belgium. The project is being co-financed by the partners and by the cross-border programme INTERREG V France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen, the Walloon and Grand Est regions. It aims to all types of companies, inside of the cross-border area, in all kind of application sectors and with an interest in AM technologies. The work programme started one year ago and since the end of 2019, the new PEPS website was launched! You can find all relevant information there, if you want to know more about the project.
