TECHtalk: 3D-printing Applied in Genk on March 29
On 29 March, Flam3D and T2-Campus will be organising a free TECHtalk on 3D-printing. Kris Binon, managing director of Flam3D, will introduce 3D-printing. After that, four experienced experts will discuss the challenges and benefits of 3D printing:
- Last year, the 3D-printing service company 3iD was the world’s first to use a HP 3D-printer for commercial use. Managing director Dave Vanhove is therefore the perfect person to tell us more about 3D-printing for tooling and moulds.
- Esma specialises in processing both unique pieces and mass production using 3D-printing and CNC milling. As Esma’s founder, John Spronck will talk about whether 3D-printing is a competitor or a supplement to CNC milling.
- Tom Castermans of Tenco DDM provides insight into series production with 3D-printing in a production environment, and deals with the challenges and solutions to complex issues involved.
- Peter-Paul Van Den Berg of Kamp C, the centre for sustainable building and living, will tell us if buildings might be printed soon.
The TECHtalk will end with a short networking drink.
