What to expect during Advanced Engineering 2023

On 24 and 25 May 2023, product designers, innovation managers, product engineers and R&D managers from the Belgian manufacturing industry will come to Antwerp Expo to get their products ready for the future during Advanced Engineering (AE). The scope of this exhibition event? Every phase of the product development process, for every sector of the Benelux manufacturing industry. Flam3D will also be present at the fair with neutral and independent advice around 3D printing. Find out below why a visit is worth your time.

Advanced Engineering is one of Belgium’s fastest growing technology events. The fair focuses on the entire product development process: from question, idea and concept, over design, choice of materials and prototyping, to testing, high-end electronics and connectivity. Innovation therefore manifests itself at each of these levels, and indeed the innovations work across sectors.

All possible production processes influence each other and raise the bar ever higher. Advanced Engineering brings together experts to help with technological issues. For example, Flam3D will also be present to help you with your 3D printing challenge. Are you looking for independent advice around or knowledge and contacts within Additive Manufacturing (AM)? Then be sure to drop by our stand!

AM has become an integral part of the product development process. This is precisely why Advanced Engineering is expanding the presence of this technology at the fair. Thanks to Flam3D’s cooperation with the organisation, Flam3D members will also be able to take extra advantage of this:

Advanced Engineering has also provided some experience zones and interesting programmes this year:

SIM Materials Forum

On Wednesday 24 May, the Strategic Initiative Materials (SIM) will organise its annual Materials Forum during the exhibition. At the SIM materials market, companies and research institutes will have the opportunity to present their materials innovation to the general public. In other words, you will discover the latest trends and updates in the field of innovative materials. Want to participate or visit the market? Then be sure to take a look at the official website.

Artificial Intelligence Hub

Together with the The Beacon, Advanced Engineering is organising a physical exhibition on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in manufacturing. Through this hub, the fair offers two days of content, demos and inspiration. Moreover, you might find the right partners to help with your strategy.

HP – VR/AR Experience zone

XR Valley, together with The Park Playground – Mission Planet X, is organising a VR/AR Experience Zone at Advanced Engineering. At the centre of the conference, there will be a VR/AR Speaker Stage and an Experience Zone with hardware sponsored by The Park Playground. There, you will discover how VR & AR can create value for manufacturing companies.

Start-Up Huddle

Startup Huddle is an event by startups, for startups, with the ultimate goal of inspiring and helping each other. Three founders of startups will get the chance to talk about their entrepreneurial story and the challenges they face from there. The diverse audience will be able to give these founders feedback, share their perspectives and potentially connect them with useful connections.

Inspiratieprogramma met key-note speakers

Besides the exhibition itself, visitors can be inspired by several key-note speakers such as: Hans Magits (VP Engineering, Atlas Copco), Bart Van Lotringen (Head of Design, DAF Trucks), Pieter Van Os (Program Manager, Circo International), Saskia Van Uffelen (Manager Digital & BeTheChange Agoria), Prof Marc Pollefeys (Professor in Computer Science) and Mark Venter (Creative Lead, Leap Forward).
